Level 2 Gym Instructor – Bones and Joints

As my course is done on a part-time basis I get my units broken down into fortnightly blocks.  My first fortnight had me covering Unit 1 of “Bones and Joints”, overall I found this section really interesting and informative.  When we look at any structure in the world out there, everything starts with a foundation and that foundation in our body is our skeleton, so what better way to start right?

What You Will Learn

  • Bone Growth and Structure
  • Bone Types
  • Bone Names
  • Functions of the Skeleton
  • Body Types (Somatotypes)
  • Types of Joints
  • Joint Movement Types
  • The Spine

Difficulty?

In all honesty I didn’t find any of this section difficult as such.  Let’s be honest here, if you are doing this course you have an obvious interest in the body, how it works, and how to keep it in its best working condition.  As with anything we are learning about, if we have a keen passion about the subject we are learning about we will take it in a lot easier in my experience.

Whats Next?

Our next section will be covering Muscles and Muscle Actions.  Stay tuned for the next post!
